Last Train
With the opportunity of the Venice Biennale d’ Arte exhibition, Ron Arad displays at Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti, a prestigious location on the Canal Grande, beside at the Accademia bridge. The installation consists of a big steel frame with rust finishing, as it is there since ever, subject to the aggressive deterioration caused by the lagoon. The frame reminds the notice boards of the trains timetable, which often carry the guys vandalistic marks. In our case too, Ron Arad thought to put a glass in his sculpture, lighting it with led on the perimeter and to engrave artistically it by great names of Art with a diamond point. The sculpture sizes are 2,5x2,5 meters.
